Dr Syed Nayyer Abidi

I am one of the directors of CHIEF, a community group led by BAME (Black, Asian & Minority Ethnic) service users, that aims to reduce health inequalities and improve the quality of life of the public, particularly the Black, Asian & Minority Ethnic Communities in England & Wales.

I myself belong to BME community, and analyse BME community`s health and social needs and pass them on to service providers to improve their culturally-sensitive services. I trust people and always extend my helping hands towards those who need my support. I love natural beauty very much and believe in equality and freedom of expression. I have inherited leadership qualities from my parents, and I love to take challenges and overcome them. I have great respect for human life and treat everyone equally irrespective of their colour, creed and ethnic origin. I feel pride in celebrating my cultural identity as British Muslim of Pakistani heritage.

I am a good player of football and cricket, and keep myself fit and healthy by daily long walk with my partner.I love playing with young children and coach them too. I am a good writer, speaker, presenter and anchor, and well known in literary circles on the basis of my bilingual publications.

What’s happening in the community…
