I first contacted PRIME-Cymru in April 2007, having found them on the Internet. Very soon after that first call, Deborah Thomas – the PRIME-Cymru consultant for my area – arranged to come and see me. I don’t know if it was just luck, but Deborah was the perfect match for what I needed at that time.

It’s a daunting thing to set up your own business at 50-years-old, especially on your own, and as a woman. Deborah’s mix of experience and talent meant that there was someone to help me work through my doubts with practical help, and then support me in re-building my confidence and sense of adventure: that this was something I could do, and that it might even be fun!

Coming up to a year later, the business is doing well – and so am I.
