I am the Director of Education at The Prince’s School of Traditional Arts. The study of geometry is based on the profound beauty and proportional principles in nature which are the inspiration of all traditional arts; these are constantly refreshed by the forming and reforming varieties of shape and structure based on timeless archetypes that echo through the ages of civilization.
The inspiration arising from the unfolding beauty of rotation of sun and moon, orbits of planets and radiance of stars, is the central core of the generation of the geometric arts. The value to the practitioner of this traditional science is to become aware of the gradations of pattern and transformations of growth, as the contemplation of inner spirit, harmony and renewal of life force.
