The Prince’s Charities Events
The Prince’s Charities Foundation has established this trading subsidiary to undertake commercial activities in support of the group’s wider mission, with a programme of music, sport and film such as Concert for Diana, 'The Friendship Cup' between India and Pakistan and the series of films known as 'Masterpieces'.

This series tells the stories of five historic masterpieces - their remarkable creators, the events that shaped them and the meanings they symbolise, as well as the tireless efforts of teams now uncovering techniques and skills lost for centuries.
The first of these films is now completed. 'Stairway to Heaven', records the remarkable story of the reconstruction of the great Minbar of the al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. After its destruction in 1969, craftsmen from the College of Traditional Islamic Art at Salt in Jordan, applied their own particular skills and mastered the original geometry, to reconstruct the Minbar. Replacing the Minbar took thirty years and the film travels from Jerusalem to London, from Jordan to Syria, from Egypt to Spain to tell the story.
