PRIME was founded by HRH The Prince of Wales in response to letters he was receiving from people desperate to work but unable to find anyone to employ them - because of their age.

PRIME-Cymru was founded by The Prince of Wales in 2001 to help people in Wales, over the age of fifty, who were being made redundant and their skills and experience being wasted. The initiative in Wales has resulted in over 1,400 people being helped to become self employed and helped to provide over 2,000 jobs.
