Initiatives
The Prince’s Charities Foundation exists to manage and allocate funds generated by the social enterprises within the group. It is also a place where new ideas and initiatives can have their first home before developing into independent charities. Below are some of the current initiatives.
Accounting for Sustainability
Accounting for Sustainability brings organisations together to develop a reporting framework and common tools to enable environmental and social performance to be better connected with strategy and financial performance, and thereby embedded into day-to-day operations and decision making.
Charity Next
Charity Next is a new initiative of The Prince’s Charities Foundation which exists to build strong, sustainable foundations for more effective cross-sector working between the public and voluntary sectors.
Start
Start is The Prince of Wales’s new initiative to help people across the UK lead more sustainable lives and to show what a more energy efficient, cleaner and healthier future could look like and how we can all make a start.
The Prince’s Charities International Sustainability Unit
An initiative established to reflect The Prince of Wales’s vision and aims in the area of sustainable development.
The Prince’s Rainforests Project
The Prince’s Rainforests Project works with governments, business, NGOs and individuals to find solutions to the deforestation of the world’s tropical rainforests.
